Ahmed Makele has a wealth of experience advising on risk management, regulation and compliance in the financial services industry. He has facilitated business growth, accounting for billions of dollars in assets under management, by supporting the launch of new funds, and advised on local and international regulations governing capital raising, providing strategic compliance and risk management advice.
Ahmed has delivered critical corporate leadership at leading UK private practice organisations and with the regulator, covering both wholesale/retail markets (private equity real assets, securities, debt, financial advisory, infrastructure, pensions and insurance).

Ahmed is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales (admitted 1995).
Ahmed holds a Masters Degree in Public International Law (LLM) from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge, a BA Honours Degree in Law from the University of Sussex and a Diploma in Regulation & Compliance from the UK CISI.
He is a member of the BPF's Regulatory Committee, INREV's Public Affairs Committee & Compliance Officers Forum, the CISI Compliance & International Regulatory Forum, the British Nigeria Law Forum and the UK Law Society. A Chartered Member of the CISI.
